Professional Experience

  • Chemistry project leader (LO, LI, 2007-10). Responsible for a medicinal chemistry team (2-5 pers), working on design, ADMET data evaluation and synthesis of new compounds. Two CD's delivered, one administrated in man.
  • Lead chemist in the development of new synthetic routes for new API's (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) Synthesis expert assigned to different teams to help with planning and developing new synthetic routes to get compounds to the clinical phase
  • IP chemistry expert in charge of defending and setting IP strategies in several medicinal chemistry projects. Patent applications broad writing experience (in close collaboration with patent attorneys).
  • Recognized mentor in synthetic organic chemistry. Many seminars and courses given
  • 2010 - 2012 RSL (Research Support Lab): scale up bench chemistry to Kg scale.
  • Software user development within the cheminformatic area. Since 2007 I collaborate with an external company, InfoChem GmbH, in the development of ICSYNTH and ICFRP, a new and innovative software for computer aided synthesis design (CASD).
  • Expert in analytical software (Knime, Pipeline Pilot), used among other things to analyse chemical patents scope.
  • 2012-2015 Chief Scientific Officer at Chemnotia AB. Searching for new scientific projects, contributing to Chemnotia’s services portfolio and managing research and strategic activities within cheminformatic software development area.

Experience of Academic Leadership and Teaching

  • Supervision of two licentiate thesis within the field of organometallic chemistry.
  • Teaching of different topics in organic chemistry (13 different courses given) at different levels at the University of Alicante, handling groups between 20-100 students.
